Hell Of An Office is a traversal game about escaping an office job (literally in Hell) before you're engulfed in lava. While holds and simultaneous presses aren't needed, rapid pressing is required consistently throughout the game. Fast reaction times are also essential. While there are no explicit difficulty settings, you can disable the lava rising so there's no time limit and thus lower pressure on you. This does, however, mean that your times don't appear on the leaderboards.

The game saves after every level.

There is text in the stages that tells you where to jump and what to hit, which is often hard to read due to low contrast and small size when far away. However, this text is not needed to play as it is generally fairly obvious where the intended pathway is. Text in menus and the UI is high in contrast, but not large, and cannot be adjusted. The same applies to the subtitles, which also have a speaker indicator.

When in between levels, in the narrative sections of the game, your objective is clearly stated and there is an optional marker on the screen that highlights where you need to go (although not exactly how to get there, although this is usually fairly obvious). The stages are generally fairly low in contrast, with flashing effects and some screen shake present. Motion blur can be disabled, and other post-processing effects can be reduced but not disabled entirely.
