Plug & Play is an existential puzzle game where you manipulate people who have plugs and sockets for heads. You drag cables around and change what's plugged into what, exploring sexuality, love, and relationships through the scenes. It's an interactive short film that stands out for the sheer strangeness of the visuals that tell its hidden narrative.

NotesAccessibility Notes

You need to hold down the mouse/touchscreen to drag things around the screen. Other than this, the only interaction is selecting dialogue options. There are no time limits and no fail states. It is not always entirely clear how to progress, but there are very few actions available at any time, so you never get stuck for long.

Text is high in contrast but less than 1/20th of screen height, although still fairly legible due to the font used. The speaker is clearly denoted by the position of the text.

The screen changes suddenly from black to white and vice versa many times throughout the game, which can be disorienting.

All Speech Subtitled (Or No Speech In Game): All spoken content has subtitles, or there is no speech in the game. This means there is no requirement to hear spoken dialogue or narrative to play the game.

Captions

Speaker Indicator: Textual captions indicate who is speaking (or there is only ever one person speaking). This can also be indicated visually in the game with character icons or placing text in speech bubbles next to the person speaking.
