Blockfusion (2024) is a puzzle game where you merge matching blocks to create larger ones. Play is like a slider puzzle however, all the pieces slide together and when they hit a matching colour they merge into new shapes.
The simple challenge is to merge the characterful blocks together to create larger blocks. When you perfectly fill the current grid, it expands to offer more space to grow and gain higher scores. You need to be careful, however, not to create merge shapes that separate remaining matches. If you do get stuck you can use special tools like the pickaxe to clear out mistakes and continue.
The result is a mathematical sliding game a bit like 2048, only here it's shapes rather than numbers you work with. What starts as a simple challenge develops in complex ways as you pursue high scores.
