Bombshell

Bombshell Blitz is a frenetic, arcadey shooting game where you take on explosive combat challenges in a nimble pixelated tank. You control your movement with one stick and aim your rockets with the other as you race, stealthily sneak, or brute-force past enemies to complete objectives. It stands out for how the toy-like tank, reminiscent of Wii Tanks, is versatile enough to take on wide-ranging tasks, culminating in chaotic tank fighting.

Each combat trial tests different skills. You may have to stealthily hide in tall grass or dodge bullets agilely. The enemies you face reflect this with their strengths and weaknesses, for example, by having slower, easier to avoid rockets with the caveat of dealing more damage. Along the way, you choose modifiers that change the game - some make it harder but more rewarding, like slowing you down in exchange for a better score, and others do the opposite.

As you progress, you call in extra support like airstrikes, fly armed drones and team up with game allies. You unlock upgrades to your tank that enhance attributes such as attack and defence. With practice, you develop effective strategies, learn where to take cover and familiarise yourself with enemy behaviour, giving you the best chance at success.

The result is a fast-paced game that recreates the glee of miniature tank battles. Still, to do well, you need to maintain focus and follow strategies in spite of the carnage and chaos around you.
