Play Overview
You play American George Stobbart, who witnesses an explosive murder while touring Paris, and now you must follow a trail of clues to get to the bottom of it. You talk to people you meet, choosing topics of discussion to uncover what they know, but you must be careful; if you anger the wrong people, you can end up in trouble, or even be killed. You find items that help, like the killer's disguise, to describe him better in conversation.
As you progress, you travel the world, visiting Ireland, Syria and Scotland now as a detective rather than a tourist. Here, you encounter more complex problems that require you to combine items. For example, to make a key for a locked door, you have to soak a bar towel and combine it with plaster of Paris to create a mould of the keyhole.
The result is a classic game that combines Indiana Jones and Sherlock Holmes to create a memorable adventure. The potential consequence of making bad interactive choices gives a weight to every action that forces you to consider all your options.
