Play Overview
Cosmic Top Secret (2018) is a true-life adventure story about a young girl's quest to uncover the truth about her parents’ work for the Danish Intelligence. Play involves exploring a world made of paper and artefacts from the Cold War era in order to complete a secret dossier and discover the truth.
Cosmic Top Secret plunges players into a world of intrigue and espionage. Your parents have signed official secrets documents preventing them from telling you about their Cold War activities. So you have to work to find clues to piece together the history of your grandparents. Everything is made of paper and cardboard, but it creates a world based on the game designer's real memories and history.
To play you flick, float, roll and glide around the world. Each level introduces a piece of the story, then you are off to find enough clues to advance the story. You get around by crumpling your character into a ball of paper. You'll need to find your way, knock over architecture and make tricky jumps to get where you need to go.
As you progress you discover not only a mystery in the game to solve but also real history and reporting from the Danish Intelligence work during the Cold War. It's a game that has been seven years in the making from hours of real-life audio and documentary footage.
The result is a game that not only looks unique, but offers a surprising amount of substance.
