Play Overview
Date Everything! (2024) is a narrative communication game where you date inanimate objects that come to life in your house. It sounds like a joke but as you interact with over 100 character-objects there's a surprising amount of depth to the interactions as you work to get everyday things to fall in love with you. It's not only unusual for the bizarre concept, but also for how you can shape the drama of the varied relationships in the game.
You move around your house using a pair of glasses to shoot love at objects and make them come to life. You choose what to say to them and gradually learn their personalities. Alongside choosing which of these relationships to pursue, are the existing inter-personal connections these characters have to each other. To date one character, perhaps you need to make them break up with their current partner, or maybe you'd rather match up single characters to create new couples.
The result is an absurd take on the dating simulator genre, where you work not only to fall in love but consider the impact of this on other characters. They are just objects, but as things play out you you need to face the consequences of your choices in the three endings for each of the 100 characters. There's lots of fun to be had in going back and making different choices and watching a new drama unfold.
