Play OverviewPlay Overview

Deliver Us The Moon (2018) is a story-driven puzzle game where you're tasked with restoring power to Earth from your base on the moon. Play involves exploring the world to identify engineering problems and apply the right tools to solve them. Although the puzzle challenge is quite familiar, it's the huge number of engineering tools available that make this interesting.

You are an astronaut sent to the moon to investigate why it is no longer providing energy to Earth. You arrive to find the base abandoned and must investigate using the tools at your disposal - like your scanner, laser and floating robot helper. In this way, you work through each outpost to re-establish the flow of energy. These puzzles are solved not only by timing, logic and traversal but also by figuring out which of your tools is required to achieve this. Getting from one area to the next there are action challenges like unexpected explosions you must escape.

As you progress, you discover voice notes that reveal why everybody has disappeared. Following these clues you attempt to bring the moon back online. Along the way, you can choose to find out more about the world through the records left behind by the inhabitants.

The result is a game where you are constantly figuring out which of your tools is useful to progress. This plays into the narrative which also leaves you guessing which role characters play as things progress.

Skill Level

10+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. Still, it's important for parents and guardians to consider the maturity required to process the game content. A solid grasp of navigating 3D spaces is needed. Some puzzles can be challenging, and many require the use of multiple tools, forward planning and environmental awareness. The story is simple to understand but younger players may not fully appreciate some of the concepts tackled.
