Dirt 5 (2007) is the latest game in a series of extreme sports racing games. Like Forza Horizon or the older MotorStorm games, the series focuses on exuberance and party atmosphere rather than just realism. It's from the team behind the more simulation-focused Dirt Rally but with more fantastic fun and extreme scenarios rather than the super-realism of that series.
Dirt 5 offers rally-cross, ice racing, stadium super trucks and off-road buggies. Players can compete in events in a wide range of locations including Arizona, Brazil, China, Italy, New York City and Norway. There is changing weather and seasons that affect the performance of vehicles. This is accompanied by a narrative-career mode.
