Play OverviewPlay Overview

Dunjungle (2024) is a running, jumping and fighting game about defeating evil foes in a fantastical retro jungle. You play an agile monkey who can charge through the trees and use timed attacks and dodges to defeat enemies. The levels are different each time you start afresh, but the real draw is the huge hierarchy of weapons and moves to master if you are to stand a chance with the end-level bosses.

Set in a tropical jungle, you play a monkey destined to protect his land from foes and jungle bosses. You pick unique weapons to help - from a broken wooden sword to a magical ancient staff. These combine with a myriad of upgrades to create powerful combos. You can also gain allies by saving characters you meet, who then help you on your journey.

As you progress you learn more about each boss and why they have decided to harm the jungle. Unusually for this type of game, the structure and layout of the expansive levels are different each time you play. This means that progressing isn't just about memorising locations but learning to adapt to the scenarios you encounter. Mastering your flowing movement and attacks is how you'll get to the end with enough health to defeat the level boss.

The result is an exuberant game where the fun lies in the endless optimisations and adjustments you can make to your weapons, movement and attacks. While building up your knowledge of key areas and enemies can be challenging, it's precisely this challenge that makes the game so rewarding.
