Glyphica: Typing Survival (2024) is a battle where you defend yourself against a relentless flow of words by fast-typing the related letters. Play involves typing the right letters to shoot at words and carefully choosing upgrades to help you survive longer. It's unique because it's a typing game that's actually lots of fun.

You play as a tower defending itself from words coming at you from all directions. By typing out each word on your keyboard, you shoot them and destroy them. You level up after shooting enough words and get a choice between three upgrades, like the ability to spawn ally drones when you successfully type a word with an "i", "o" or "u" in it.

As you progress you need to become selective in which words to type, since traps and upgrades can take care of most words. It gets increasingly overwhelming as hordes of lengthy, complex words fly at you - especially when you miss a letter and get stuck. Using currency randomly dropped when fighting, you can unlock permanent boosts like extra damage on energy weapons after each round has finished.

This results in a game which improves your typing skills through the familiar fun of tower defence.
