Play Overview
Haste Broken Worlds (2025) is a super fast racing and reaction game where you guide a running character through a changing landscape. You play by directing your character to avoid running into things, using boosts and gliding to find the best way forward. Like the developer's other games, Totally Accurate Battle Simulator and Stick Fight: The Game, it stands out for the possibilities of emergent play it offers.
It's in early development, so here's how things are currently looking (but of course may evolve). In the game, you need to preserve your stamina and maximise your speed by finding an efficient route through the landscape. Jumps slow you down but perfect landings grant you more stamina for speed boosts. You can use the shape of the landscape to boost at the right time to gain both height and speed advantage. Get this right and you can combine it with gliding to avoid further hazards.
The result is a game that commits to that feeling of speed and the world rushing towards you. Similar to games like Burnout, although here just on foot, the challenge is getting your brain to react to the overloading rush of objects and find an efficient way through. Whether avoiding trees and boulders in a dense forest, capitalising on sand dunes in the desert or dealing with ice in snowy winter areas, it's a challenge for the senses and reactions.

7+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. Young players need to be able to deal with suddenly failing after a long run. They need quick reactions and the ability to improvise a route when the landscape changes.
