Play OverviewPlay Overview

Level Devil (2024) is a running and jumping game that is out to kill you. Play is a simple challenge of getting to the door at the end of the level, but the world changes as you play it in ways designed to stop you dead. It stands out for the simple challenge of completing levels made by a malevolent designer.

When you first see the level, it's usually clear what you need to do, but as you start to traverse to the exit things get more challenging. Holes appear from nowhere, spikes move just when you jump and ceilings unexpectedly collapse. This means you must try, fail and try again until you manage to deal with all the unexpected hazards.

The result is a game that is as much about second-guessing the level designer as it is platforming skills or reactions. It's designed to be a frustrating experience but this makes beating a level first time all the more satisfying.
