Play OverviewPlay Overview

Peak (2025) is a traversal adventure where you climb a huge mountain filled with dangerous pitfalls, hazardous terrain, and extreme weather. You work with three friends to heave yourselves up the mountain, while managing your stamina and scavenging for food and gear. It stands out for how the mountain changes every 24 hours, meaning you can't just find the best route and stick to it and must adapt and map out your path as you go.

You must climb to the top of a mountain on a deserted island after your plane crashes on the shore. Play involves climbing, jumping, and swinging to the top of the mountain through four different biomes, each filled with deadly obstacles and perilous pitfalls. From icy caverns to fiery volcanoes, you must use the items you scavenge, like coconuts and expanding mushrooms, to maintain yourself and construct a pathway up the mountain to the peak.

While you can play on your own, it's a game designed to be played with friends. They can pull you up ledges, carry you if you fall unconscious, and heal you. If you all fall unconscious, though, you have to start again from the very bottom. Additionally, you're able to carry more vital supplies as a group than on your own. Every real-world day, the mountain changes to an entirely new map, so you can't just learn the best way up and master it; instead, you must learn to master the climbing mechanics and look for the signs that signal a good path.

The result is a game where taking full advantage of your scavenged equipment and working together with your friends is just as important as climbing. Identifying the best routes and then executing climbs as a team makes for a novel challenge.
