Play Overview
Post Void (2020) is a psychedelic shooting game where you race to the end of each stage before your life expires. You run through multicoloured and distorted corridors and kill enemies to use their energy to restore your ever-depleting supply. It stands out for the bizarre technicolour world and the urgency created by the need to continually move forward and kill.
Play involves running through randomly generated corridors and using your gun to kill all the enemies in your path, before reaching the end of the stage. You hold your severed head in your left hand, which shows you how much of your rapidly depleting life force you have left. You can only refill it by shooting enemies. This means you must continually charge forward to find new foes and hopefully reach the end of the stage before you are out of life.
Upon reaching the end of the level, you can choose an upgrade to your weapon with, for example, bullets that bounce off walls or faster reloads. This then repeats until you reach the end of the 11th level and reach the end. If you die at any point you have to start all over again, and you must gradually learn how to play well across multiple runs until you're finally successful. Once you beat the game, you get a score based on your performance and can see how you did compared to other players across the globe.
The result is a fast-paced and frantic shooter that demands speed, excellence, and precision at every turn. The psychedelic, shifting visuals, combined with the need to keep moving and killing, make for an unusual but eye-catching and engaging game.

Duration
Play Time: This game will take between 1 and a half hours and 3 and a half hours to complete. A successful run through the entire game takes between 30 and 45 minutes, but as you'll likely die many times before you succeed, the actual time to beat the game is generally longer than this. Replaying the game to get a better score on the leaderboard can add much more to the overall play time.
