Play OverviewPlay Overview

Prey (2017) is a futuristic adventure where you wake up on a space station having been the subject of an experiment gone terribly wrong. Play involves using weapons and stealth to survive being hunted by hostile shape-shifting aliens. It stands out for being able to use the game physics to play in very different ways - quiet, loud, sneaky, powerful - and how you never know where the aliens are hiding.

The game is set in 2032, aboard the Talos I space station. It was supposed to be the height of the 1960s private space enterprise. Now in ruins, it offers a complex interconnected world to navigate with non-linear pathways and countless secrets. You play Morgan Yu, who must find the clues you planted in the past to discover the truth about the doomed experiment.

You work to gain alien abilities to combine distinct powers and skills. You can also craft items and find gadgets and tools to help you overcome dangerous obstacles. How you tackle this challenge determines how things unfold and whether you survive the mysterious threat ravaging the station.

The result is a game that's as much about surviving the haunted house of a space station as it is about shooting the alien threats. Their ability to become all manner of everyday objects on the ship, adds to the looming threat of never being safe.
