Play Overview
Quite a Ride is a traversal adventure set in a shifting, foggy countryside where you explore on your bike to find anomalies. Play involves riding through looping rural roads, managing your phone’s dwindling battery for light, maps and decrypting texts to work out what's going on. It stands out for the vulnerable mode of transport that's great at getting you where you need to go, but not so great at escaping being chased away.
You’re trapped in a constantly changing nightmare where the only way out is to keep moving on your bike. You pedal through foggy farm roads, derelict neighbourhoods and hidden facilities while using your phone sparingly for light and guidance. Tension rises when you stop to investigate what's hiding in the buildings and fog. Investigation soon switches to escape when all manner of jump scares send you scurrying on your way.
As you progress, routes fold into each other as textual clues slowly offer answers. Still, your limited battery forces you to choose between lighting the road, checking maps, or saving juice for incoming messages.
The result is a game about vulnerability as much as survival. It combines ominously inviting worlds and a believable pedalling traversal to create a distinctive experience where navigation, stamina, and attention are your only defences.
