Play OverviewPlay Overview

Revenge of the Savage Planet is an action-adventure game where you are stranded on a vibrant alien planet and must scavenge to survive after being sacked by the company that took you there. Play involves running, jumping, shooting and collecting your way through the worlds to discover gear and craft upgrades. It stands out for offering a bright, satirical world to collect your way through.

You have been made redundant on the edge of space with not much equipment and no safety net. To survive you must explore every nook and cranny, collect upgrades, and turn over every mysterious alien rock if you want to get revenge on your former employer and return to Earth. It's a retro collect-a-thon along the lines of classic Rare games like Banjo Kazooie. Here though, it's designed around two players rather than one.

As you progress through multiple planets and challenges, you need to scan plants and capture capture. Then there are lakes to dive into, caves to delve deep into and mountains to climb. The items and resources you find can be used to upgrade your gear and build a home base.

The result is a game that's fun to explore and offers plenty of surprises along the way. Aliens are both bizarre and intriguing - how about the Jello Aliens or Butt Monkeys that fire blood from their cheeks? It's a slapstick world to enjoy with enough of a sense of humour to make it more than just a game for kids.
