Play Overview
Rhythm Rabbit is a rhythm game where you guide a rabbit to a carrot by choosing the direction of its jumps. Depending on the number of notes around the rabbit, it jumps a different distance on every beat, but it's your job to choose a direction that gets it safely to the end of the level. It stands out for how it uses rhythm to force you to quickly adapt to each directional decision.
You must guide a rabbit to a carrot by helping it jump across islands and avoid obstacles and hazards. The rabbit jumps to the beat of the music and at a distance determined by the number of notes swirling around it. The trick is that you can't pause or miss a beat. You have to choose a direction every few seconds. Pick the wrong direction and you'll end up in harm's way.
It sounds like a simple concept, but due to the fiendish sequence of notes (and how many squares you have to move) you must constantly reassess the route. As more hazards get introduced, such as bats that make you jump backwards, dust that obscures your view, and slippery ice, the challenge quickly increases.
The result is a game that offers a unique twist on a rhythm game that places the challenge on the puzzle of adapting to your situations in a limited time. The different hazards and obstacles introduced throughout the game keep things varied, and the short stage size means failure is only temporary.
