Play Overview
You play a member of a Stone Age tribe and must work to build yourself a home. Play involves exploring the world, gathering resources, taming animals, and interacting with the other tribe members. Some actions, such as fishing and domesticating animals, are done through small minigames, such as keeping the cursor above a moving target or playing the right notes on an instrument. As you explore the world, you find seeds you're able to use to create farms. Gathering more resources lets you slowly build a home, decorations, and useful tools and machines that aid in your development, such as waterways waterwheels for crop irrigation, cooking fires, and musical instruments used to let small animals join you.
The other side to the game is your tribal community. When you first meet new characters, you learn their ancestry and how it relates to yours. You participate in rituals and festivals celebrating nature, welcome members of other tribes to join you, and build new connections (you can even fall in love). Many people you meet tell you of their ideas, which you can help them realise by giving them the necessary resources. Once they have what they need, they can create helpful new items you can use, strengthening community ties and letting you advance more easily.
The result is a game where your tribal community is at the heart of everything you do, from helping the people of the tribe realise their ideas to participating in festivals and celebrations. Paired with prehistoric farming and adventuring, it makes for a novel experience.
