Play Overview
You play Beelzebub, a friendly demon prince who teams up with unlikely companions to end the extreme drought by locating a legendary spring. You explore the desert on foot and in your tank, fighting enemies sent by power-hungry humans trying to guard the water. You can equip a range of weapons, from machine guns to rocket launchers to your vehicles, amassing an arsenal of mechs with different strengths suited to different challenges.
As you progress, you reach the city of Spino, where you recruit locals to sell a range of valuable vehicle parts, as well as offer side quests for useful rewards. You unlock abilities for you and your allies that enhance your attacks and provide passive bonuses such as increasing loot dropped by enemies. Even after you beat the game there is a lot left to explore, including a lush forest region and dangerous dungeons.
The result is a playful game about exploring a world and battling with mechanised vehicles in over-the-top Mad-Max style. The visuals hold true to the game's anime roots and the narrative touches on meaningful themes such as discrimination and power.
