Play Overview
Sipssassin (2025) is a tongue-in-cheek stealth game where you drink other people's drinks without them noticing. You can stun your victim and snatch their drink, sneak a decoy into their hand so they won't notice, or even use a very long straw to drink up from a distance. It's a silly concept that, along with its immature humour and fourth-wall-breaking dialogue, makes for a hilarious experience.
You play a heroic Sipssassin, at war with the mind-controlling, drink-spiking Drinkceptionists. By stealing specific drinks without anyone noticing, you locate Drinkceptionists hiding within crowds of partygoers, then chase and defeat them with makeshift weapons like a chicken leg or a ladle. If you're spotted snatching a drink, you must run away and hide in a cardboard box, haystack, or elsewhere as quickly as possible. There are three other game modes with similar premises but slight gameplay alterations, for example, simply stealing as many drinks as possible in a two-minute window.
As you progress, you find legendary drinks and gadgets that grant special abilities, enabling you to summon a giant sword or slow down time. You unlock different characters who can wear disguises and access special areas, meet wacky friends and foes and uncover the bizarre narrative where you save the entire kingdom from being drugged.
The result is a comedic game that's as much about making you laugh as it is about stealthy play. The simplistic visuals and constant fourth-wall breaks are unserious and endearing, and while it's not easy, it doesn't focus on extreme challenges that take away from the light-hearted feel.
