Play Overview
There are several different modes to play, although all revolve around working in a team to beat your opponents. The main draw is a battle-royale-style deathmatch between teams of 2 or 4, with 40 players in total. You land on the map and must gather resources to defeat monsters and earn upgrades for both you and your team. Each character has different strengths, so finding who works best for your play style and complimenting your teammates’ styles is essential.
As the play area shrinks, you encounter the other teams and must use your guns and magical powers to defeat them in fast-paced and frenetic brawls. To win, you need to not only work well in the heat of battle but also develop a clear strategy for how you’ll use quieter times to effectively prepare and play to your character's strengths.
The result is a game that creates a novel tension as you work to equip your team before inevitably being pushed closer together. Maximising your character's unique powers and working together to get the best loot and craft your strategy is essential, and honing your approach over time is rewarding fun.
