Play Overview
Unavowed (2018) is a point-and-click adventure set in an alternate reality where monsters, demons and the supernatural exist. You work to control each situation to banish the creatures and keep the world safe. Unusually, for this kind of game, there are different ways to deal with each challenge - depending on which characters you have chosen for your team.
You join an organisation tasked with sending supernatural beings away, hiding their existence to prevent distress amongst normal people. How you achieve this depends on who you have talked to, what items you have found and how much you have discovered about the situation. Choices you make impact events later in the story so thinking carefully about your decisions and exploring all your options is important.
As you progress you acquire more companions, each with unique abilities that open up new ways to deal with scenarios. For example: one of your allies is a fire mage who can touch super-hot objects. Companions also bring narrative changes, with parts of some missions completely changing depending on who you take with you.
This results in a point-and-click game that's as much about your choices as solving puzzles. Not only does this offer more varied play but adds the option of multiple playthroughs.
