Play Overview
Young Suns (2025) is a narrative simulation set in an optimistic far future, where you live aboard a ship orbiting Jupiter and help communities rebuild after ousting predatory corporations. Play involves piloting to tiny planetoids and stations, and deciding which inhabitants you want to help and invest in. It stands out for its collaborative drop-in co-op that focuses on organised civic problem-solving rather than combat or chaos.
Young Suns is a co-op narrative life sim set in a newly reclaimed region of space. You work as one of the few remaining shipowners after a revolution, ferrying between planetoids, derelict ruins and converted stations to meet locals and make everyday life better. This involves getting to know the locals through daily conversations that gradually reveal each faction's desires for a revitalised community.
As you progress, you expand your ship's reach by upgrading tools and tackling tougher jobs to salvage, repair, or donate recovered furniture, clothing, and gear to the common cause. Working with other players online makes things a little easier as you collaborate on deliveries and local projects, while each player's progression persists across sessions.
The result is a life sim about being useful. It's a game of simple joys and slow progress as you shuttle between neighbourhoods to make small contributions. Its blend of gentle exploration, deep routine, and generous co-op offers an unusual, hopeful and civic-minded twist.
