Play OverviewPlay Overview

Zoombinis (1996) is a longstanding series of educational puzzle games that follows the exploits of the Zoombini characters through strange puzzle-filled lands. Play involves solving sequencing, pattern matching and action challenges to progress to the next level. It stands out for the Saturday morning cartoon visuals and voicework in a game that stretches even the most strategic players.

The Zoombinis Remastered was released in 2015 and updates the classic 1996 Logical Journey of the Zoombinis with sharp visuals and touch controls. Play is a series of challenging logic puzzles introduced with a riddle, where you guide the quirky blue characters on a mission to find a new home. There is a range of different Zoombini characters, whose style of hair, eyes, nose, and feet influence how they interact with the puzzles.

As you progress through the levels and difficulty settings, things really start to ramp up. Unlike other games, the challenge here isn't fast reactions and quick fingers. Experimentation and logical deduction are the order of the day.

The result is an entertaining game with a Sesame Street feel that offers a novel way to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Over the years it has introduced countless children (and nostalgic adults) to fundamental logic and computational thinking concepts.
