MCM Comic Con

We are running the Family Gaming Area at MCM Comic Con (October 28th-30th 2022) with AskAboutGames and the VSC Ratings Board. We'll be there to answer questions on console settings, PEGI ratings, keeping costs sensible, and helping you find amazing games.

This isn't the usual preset selection of games. As you can see below, we'll have a wide selection of video games for you to try out. Talk to one of our on-hand experts to find a game that's a perfect match for your family using the special search page on the data. From big AAA games to the small indies we're aiming to have something for everyone.

Come and find us in the Sidequest area and try out some of the great family games we'll have to play. You can also use the database Game Finder to search for games that are the perfect match for your family. We can also help you find games that match your families particular accessibility requirements and cognitive needs.

Accessibility Support

We will have an Xbox set-up with and Adaptive Controller with switches and sticks. Each game on the stand also has an Accessibility Report on the database. You can also the Accessibility Filters on this page to search for games we are showing that have suitable features and design for your requirements.

As part of our Accessibility Report, this page lists games that have been flagged with Reading - Subtitles accessibility (how much reading or listening comprehension is required, how well the game provides visual and audible access to the text and whether subtitles and captions are a good fit for purpose) for the following:

Large Clear Subtitles: Subtitles are large, clear and of good contrast. They are at least 1/20 (46 pixels on 1080 screen) the height of a landscape screen and at least 1/40 height on portrait screens, or can be adjusted to be. We base this on the full line-height, including the space above and below the letters. Considered separately from the general text of the game, the subtitles are large, clear and of good contrast.

This list includes 14 games from the last 5 years, with 770 likes. They come from a range of different genres and play-styles and are all good games if you want to try out family games at MCM Comic Con.
