Play OverviewPlay Overview

Demon Tides (2026) is a running, jumping, and collecting game where you transform into different creatures to explore islands and sunken ruins. Play leans into the joy of traversal and exploration with your malleable shapeshifting powers to swim, glide, and leap over obstacles. It's an assault course in the style of classic 3D platform games, complete with an array of abilities that invite creative route-finding if you can time your jumps and transformation just right.

You play the adventurous demon Beebz exploring an archipelago of islands, ruins, and secrets in search of collectables. In addition to running and jumping, you can transform into different creatures using collected talismans to gain their movement, from super-fast swimming to spinning glides to a rolling ball. In this way, you traverse the world and find novel ways to reach new locations. You can put down checkpoints wherever you want, encouraging experimentation without fear of losing progress.

As you progress, you meet characters who help you on your adventures and fight monsters using your powers. You also collect new talismans that further expand your movement abilities. Running through the open exploration are races to reach a particular location faster than other online players.

The result is a game where experimentation with your abilities is encouraged to find ambitious and unexpected ways to get around. Gradually getting to grips with your powers as you traverse the bright and colourful world is good fun, and time trial races add a surprisingly competitive edge once you've mastered the basics.
