Play Overview
Unlike the first two games, you play a guard at a horror attraction themed around the legacy of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. This time, there is only a single animatronic hunting you: Springtrap, a decaying golden Bonnie suit with a rotting corpse stuck inside. You play in different rooms through the camera system, using audio lures to keep him away from you. While it sounds like a simple task, you must cleverly anticipate where he can go from each room you move him into, and choose a place with an indirect route to you. You can seal off a single vent passage at a time to reduce the number of paths he can take.
Although there is only one real animatronic, the poor ventilation means you hallucinate and see ghostly visions of robots that jump at you, breaking your flow and potentially allowing Springtrap to move to somewhere new. Add to this, cameras and audio systems that constantly fail and must be restored, and you must constantly adapt to each new situation. As well as this nightly play, by finding hidden clues you can unlock secret minigames and get an ending that hints at wider narrative connections to the larger story.
The result is a game where understanding the geography of the building to find the best places to lure Springtrap to and protect yourself is essential. Doing this while also grappling with hallucinations and failing systems, you have a considerable challenge to overcome.

Age Ratings
Rated 12+ on the Apple App Store for Frequent/Intense Horror/Fear Themes, Frequent/Intense Cartoon or Fantasy Violence, and Infrequent/Mild Profanity or Crude Humor.
There are some rare images that appear on failure that show Springtrap in detail, with what is obviously a dead body trying to escape the suit. These may be unsettling to younger players.
Skill Level
10+ year-olds usually have the required skill to enjoy this game. Still, it's important for parents and guardians to consider the maturity required to process the game content. Pre-teenagers are often keen on the mild horror stories around Five Nights at Freddy's. Along with considerations about content, you do need to be able to stay on top of managing the location of Springtrap and your failing systems.
