Play Overview
Flow Free (2012) is a logic puzzle game where you connect coloured dots with lines that mustn't cross each other. You must ensure that the route you take to connect the dots doesn't cut off other dots from being connected through careful planning and logic. It stands out for the clarity of the challenge that leads to increasingly complex webs of connections.
On grids of varying shapes and sizes, there are multiple pairs of coloured dots. You must create pipes that connect the matching dots, but the pipes you create cannot cross over one another. While it sounds simple, the stages are designed in such a way that the most direct route cannot always be taken. Instead, you often need to devise more circuitous routes to ensure you leave space for all the dots to be connected.
The result is a game that, while simple, creates puzzles where planning and careful thought are needed to ensure success. Figuring out the most difficult challenges is always satisfying and makes for an enjoyable brain tease.
Our examiner, Ben Kendall, first checked Flow Free a year ago. It was re-examined by Ollie Robertson and updated 2 weeks ago.
