Play Overview
Node Farm (2024) is a simulation game where you automate and optimise a farm to perfectly maximise efficiency. To play you tactically chain together different Nodes on your farm to scale up the production and sale of your goods, but without the wires crossing. It stands out for turning the classic path-finding puzzle into a game about farming and commerce.
You start on a small island with a single pool of water. Slowly, you place the different Nodes and wire them up to start harvesting and selling the crops you produce. As you sell the crops you make, you're able to afford more Nodes which in turn leads to higher yield. The catch is that the connections mustn't cross each other.
While this expansion is the aim, the more Nodes you place the harder it is to connect them without their wires intersecting. Get this right and you'll leave capacity and space for future expansion that leads to accessing more types of Nodes and new islands. For example, Nodes that stockpile your goods until the market price hits a certain level.
The result is a game where the fun lies in the endless optimisations and adjustments you can make to your farm. Gradually expanding while improving efficiency and profitability can be challenging, but it's precisely this challenge that makes success so rewarding.
