Play Overview
Animal Upon Animal (2005) is a dexterity game where players compete to stack animals on a precarious pile. You take turns adding animals to the pile using only one hand. It's a game of balance, both physically and mentally accentuated by the cleverly shaped wooden animals - choose the wrong move and everything comes crashing down in front of you.
You start by placing the crocodile on a flat surface. Players then select seven creatures for their pile. With each turn, you roll the dice and then must place that many creatures on top of the crocodile. You win if you use all your pieces first without toppling the pile.
As you play, the tower becomes taller and wider, so the difficulty of stacking increases. Players must use their physical dexterity and decision-making to decide where best to place their animals. What starts as a simple stacking game, quickly becomes a clever balancing act between adding your pieces, whilst making it more difficult for your opponents to do the same.
