Clip Cut Parks is a world-building brain game where you are making the ideal park. You cut up sheets of square-coloured terrain to place on your Park cards. The twist is that you can only make a specific number (and length) of cuts matching a dice role.

Play involves taking turns to roll the dice. It dictates how many cuts you can make. For example, one cut of length 2, three cuts of length one. You then use the scissors to make these cuts but aiming to create square shapes of land that fit your current Park card matching the specified colour locations.

As you progress you realise that certain spaces on the Park card require to be connected in a cut block. Other spaces require squares not just of a specific colour but with a symbol on them too. You need to consider how your cuts can create blocks straight away, but also plan cuts that may be useful in the future.

To do well you need to complete your parks quickly, as they then give you bonus items and extra cuts. The first person to complete five Park cards wins the game. If there's a tie the player with the fewest mistake pieces (that couldn't go on their park) wins.

The feeling of cutting your sheet of paper into pieces is really unique and appealing. Matching up your blocks of land with what your park needs is also a lot of fun. But as well as this it's really competitive. Also, the knowledge that each time you play has value because there are limited sheets of paper, actually adds to the excitement and focus amongst players.
