Play OverviewPlay Overview

Dice Throne (2018) is a battle game where wide-ranging heroes fight for victory. You play by rolling dice to complete specific combinations, collecting cards and activating your powers when you need them. It is a fight to the death that takes place over a thousand small decisions.

You play as one of eight heroes, each with different combat styles, abilities, and upgrades. You roll and re-roll dice, trying to complete combinations that enable specific attacks and deal damage to your opponent. The more complicated a combination is to complete, then the more damage it deals. So, like Yahtzee, each go you must select and re-roll your dice carefully to inflict the highest possible damage.

As you play, you collect cards and combat points that enable you to upgrade your hero, unlocking new powers and new attacks. The first player to lose all fifty of their health points is defeated, so you need to balance attacking your opponent with healing and upgrading your own character.

As each character has such a complex set of abilities, this is no simple slugfest. You must carefully plan out each action that you perform, whether it is rolling dice, using combat points, or upgrading your character, because this is a fight to the death that takes place over a thousand little decisions.
