With PlayStation Plus Essential you can also share your games in more ways with friends and family:
- Screen Share – Let's someone in another place watch your game on their PlayStation. PS Plus Essential is not required for either party.
- Pass the Controller – Let's someone in another place take turns on a game you own, without owning the game themselves. PS Plus is required for the host, but not for the guest.
- Playing Together – Let's you play local co-op or split screen games with someone in another place who has a PlayStation. PS Plus is required for both players.
If you own a PlayStation 5, subscribing to PlayStation Plus also grants access to more free games via the
PlayStation Plus Collection.
Share PlayStation Plus Essential with Family
You can share your PlayStation Plus subscription with other family members. This enables them to access games from your PlayStation Plus account. Go to
Settings | Users and Accounts | Other | Console Sharing and Offline Play and select
Enable. Then go to
Settings | Account Management | Activate as Your Primary PlayStation and select
Activate.
You can also share access to your game library on other PlayStation consoles not designated as your Primary machine provided you are logged in. This does, however, log you out of any other PlayStation consoles as you can only be logged into one at a time.
