Rollerdrome is a single-player skating and shooter game with fluid movements and trick-making fun. You play in a comic-book style dark-dystopian world set in 2030 where the public are inoculated from sinister politics by this brutal new sport.

Our accessibility examiner, Ben Kendall, first checked Rollerdrome accessibility 12 months ago.

NotesAccessibility Notes

Although you can fully remap controls, due to needing to perform tricks, shoot, and move about, quick reactions, simultaneous buttons, and holds, are all required.

There are several assists you can enable in the settings, which change the difficulty, such as by offering unlimited ammo or making powerful shots easier to make. One of them makes you invincible. You automatically slow down time when you aim, but can also opt to further slow the game by 50%. Enabling any assist means you don't rank on leaderboards against other players. You can also make the camera automatically centre itself, but this is not an assist.

Text including subtitles is high in contrast, but is often smaller than 1/20th the height of the screen.

In the settings, you can enable High Contrast Audio, which makes important noises more notable in the sound mix. This is separate from the individual audio sliders for sound effects, music etc.
