Slime Rancher 2 is a farming simulation game where rather than chickens, sheep or cows, you farm slimes. You explore the oceanic world to find slimes to use on your farm to generate income and steadily upgrade your land. It stands out for whimsical open-world farming and exploration, but also requires nuanced slime breeding and selling to make a surprisingly deep experience.

NotesAccessibility Notes

At the start of the game, you can customise the difficulty by toggling several features, such as whether Tarr appears, and how much damage you deal. The game automatically saves every couple of minutes.

The UI has been significantly reworked over the first game, and now all text has a background that makes it high in contrast. However, lots of text still falls short of being 1/20th of the screen height.

As the game is all about exploration and making your own choices, there are no clear objectives. There is, however a map you can use to orient yourself and navigate around the world.

The game is generally bright and uses contrasting colours for most objects. Although the different types of slimes are primarily distinguished by colour, they also have differences in shape and size (ie. a tail or ears), so aren't distinguishable by colour alone.
