Play OverviewPlay Overview

33 Immortals (2023) is an action-fighting game where 33 online players team up as damned souls to take on God's final judgement. Play is like the classic dungeon crawlers, Gauntlet or Castle Crashers, but the large numbers of players introduce new ways to survive hordes of monsters and defeat massive bosses.

Drawing inspiration from Dante Alighieri’s literary masterpiece, the Divine Comedy, you have been judged sinful, and your fate is to be punished for all eternity. Unsurprisingly, the masses are unhappy with this and rise up to rebel against God. You join the fight with 33 others in a top-down action-fighting style.

You must learn to find ways to make your numbers count against enemies more powerful than any one individual. As you progress you hone your skills and expand your arsenal to complement the team. But as you go, fallen comrades can mean your numbers dwindle. There's a real incentive to work together so as many of you survive to face the brutal boss battles.

The result is an epic hand-drawn journey through the afterlife. More than the art style though, it's the unusual dependence on teamwork and numbers rather than the usual individual power fantasy.
