Play Overview
Bluey: The Videogame (2023) is a super-simple treasure hunt adventure with characters and locations from the show. You play by exploring familiar places like Heeler House, Playgrounds, and the Creek to collect stickers, unlock outfits and find secrets. It stands out for how approachable and welcoming it is for very young players, and how (like the show) it captures the tiring challenges of being a positive parent.
It's a short story about the family searching for Bandit’s lost childhood treasure, designed to appeal to young children who watch the show by offering a chance to spend time with the characters from the show. Along with hunting for lost objects, you can drop into a minigame whenever you want, for a bit of distraction. There's also a sticker book to fill out by finding additional items in each level. The whole game, story and minigames can all be played with up to four players at once which is fun, although the camera always follows player 1.
The result is a simple fetch-and-find game with perfect Bluey theming. It's light-hearted, super easy and fully voiced by the cast. Any child who likes the show will enjoy this, and adults are aided by the funny nods to parenting.
