Play Overview
You play in a fairy tale world full of bread and baking puns. As the story unfolds you are joined by a team of friends to take on the enemies and discover what lies behind their arrival in your world. Each buddy brings their own set of abilities to the party to help, either in combat or during exploration.
Half of the challenge is finding where to go in the world by solving environmental puzzles and talking to the locals. The other half is the turn-based battles where you choose attacks and then press a timed button to (hopefully) pull them off perfectly.
The result is a light-hearted adventure that you can take at your own pace. The quality of the visuals makes it feel like a storybook while the interactive challenge requires you to think ahead to take on each battle. By the end, you've gone on a journey with Loaf and friends that touches on how we must grow to meet the challenges of life and the consequences of the choices we make.
