Play OverviewPlay Overview

Cash Cow DX (2024) is a running and jumping game styled on classic 80's action. Play involves travelling the platforms to collect all the gems while avoiding the enemies. It stands out for perfectly capturing the sounds, visuals and pixel-perfect jumps of classic arcade games.

Your mission is to steal back Cash Cow's riches from the clutches of the greedy Pig Pockets and reclaim what's rightfully hers. It sounds simple, but the fast-moving enemies and instant death spikes mean that frustration is part of the fun. Each level splits across 5 screens with all manner of bonuses and secrets.

The result is a game that's tough as nails. It recreates the chiptune, saccharine visuals and high-low frustrations of coin-operated arcade games of the 80s. Master this and there are even turbo, speedrun and marathon modes.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Cash Cow DX 12 weeks ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 11 weeks ago.
