Corrypt

Corrypt (2012) is a role-playing puzzle game where you collect items and interact with characters in a maze filled with moveable boxes. In a novel twist, you can push and pull the boxes, but they stick to you, making it a challenge to move them out of the way so you can progress. It's this unique game mechanic, paired with several Zelda-like puzzle rooms and no enemies whatsoever that make Corrypt a unique offering.

You play a small purple creature in a cave-like maze filled with hostile enemies. You can collect mushrooms to give to some of the characters in exchange for other valuables, and you can also collect score gems, keys, and magic.

You move around the rooms, negotiating boxes blocking paths to items or doors. You can walk up to a box to make it stick to you, and you can then move with it in the plane you are connected to it by (horizontally or vertically). It will only detach from you when you move in the opposite plane.

Other boxes also stick to the box you are attached to in the same plane as you, so you can move multiple boxes at a time. You also find creatures that will mimic you and can be used as another means of moving boxes to solve puzzles. As you progress you can use power-ups to remove objects or clear paths, and you can use the undo feature to return to your latest save point if you get stuck.

It's a unique game with complex but interesting game mechanics that gives you free rein to explore the labyrinthine rooms at your own pace and offers a difficult challenge to fans of puzzle games and RPGs.
