Play Overview
Ete (Été (2024), which means summer) is a gentle adventure where you discover memories by exploring with your camera, music and paint. The screen starts almost entirely blank, and as you move around and interact you create vivid colourful memories.
Summer is blooming as you wander into Montreal with Marianne, an ambitious young filmmaker, and Théo, a charming violinist. The game is set at the start of summer in Montreal, and your close friend, a young woman is leaving town for the autumn. As you play, you are creating what will become the last moments for you and your friend. This is what will remain after the young woman's departure.
You interact with the world with paint, using watercolour to complete the world. Or with movement as you roam freely through open city areas. Then there is photography, where your old camera captures your favourite locations on film to revisit them later. Music is used as you lead a symphony of instruments that interact with the world around them.
It’s a game without combat, puzzles, challenges or failure. You can explore at your own pace and the experience invites your own interpretation.
