Play OverviewPlay Overview

Evil Genius 2 (2021) is a tongue-in-cheek strategy game where you play the evil villain. You must build a detailed, functional lair from where you can take control of the world. Similar to Sim City and 2 Point Hospital, you use your resources wisely as you mark out rooms, train your minion workforce and create new specialists.

The action is controlled from above by clicking to interact with your base and workforce. Via menus, you can select new technology to build or send your forces off to establish corrupt projects in different parts of the world. All the time you need to be on your guard against enemy agents investigating or coming to assassinate you.

Although this focuses on violence and corruption it's all done in a comical style. For example, you can send enemy do-gooders spinning away with a Pinball Bumper, or put the chomp on them with the Venus Spy-Trap. Then there are your evil schemes: selling the British Royal Family, kidnapping the Governor of Maine, or literally making Baked Alaska.

Content Rating

Rated PEGI 12 for Violence and Bad Language. This game features moderate violence as the player's henchmen fight against enemy agents. Characters can be shot, punched or kicked, although there are no realistic responses and no blood or injuries shown. Characters can also be caught by traps, including laser grids, shark tanks and flame exhausts. Triggering these traps causes victims to flinch minimally, or wave their arms and run around if they're on fire. However, no blood or injuries are shown and damage is depicted by flashes and stars. When defeated, they disappear in a puff of smoke. Some characters reappear, when defeated, in the form of a body bag which can be sucked up with a vacuum gun. The player's character can order the interrogation of enemy agents. However, this simply involves strapping them into a chair and tickling their feet.

The game also includes infrequent bad language, such as 'bloody' and '*!@?*'.

Rated for younger players in Australia. Rated Parental Guidance (PG) for Violence, Mild Themes, Coarse Language
The first Evil Genius game was rated PEGI 12 for violence. ESRB TEEN for comic mischief, suggestive themes and violence.
