Play OverviewPlay Overview

Funexpected Math (2021) is an educational brain game for young children to help them learn and develop mathematics skills. Through a series of short fun challenges, you learn the basics of important maths concepts in a playful environment that encourages creativity and experimentation. It's this playful, non-judgemental space that it creates that makes it stand out.

You create a profile for your child (or children) and select the skills you want them to learn using the app, as well as their age. From there, you can schedule lessons within the app, or start learning straight away.

There are lots of levels, each one only taking a few minutes to complete, that introduce different fundamental concepts in areas of maths such as arithmetic, geometry, and logic. Activities range from helping a snowman make the right number of snowballs to helping guide a ninja through a building by constructing a list of instructions (an algorithm). You can track your child's progress over time and watch their skills improve.

The result is a game that offers a great supplement to school education through playful activities that introduce and teach important tools for later learning. The imaginative settings for the different levels create a sense of engagement that keeps children involved and entertained while learning these essential skills.
