Guacamelee is a running, jumping and fighting game with an emphasis on exploration of a maze of levels. You play humble farmer turned luchador, Juan, on a mission to find upgrades and battle enemies. It's a world inspired by Mexican culture and folklore, full of sassy villains and wrestler-looking friends.

Play involves brawling and jumping your way through single screen areas that interconnect with each other. The platforming requires precise combinations of moves while the fighting is a little simpler. This leads you to discover a huge, hand-crafted world, learning a deep repertoire of attacking and defensive moves to fend off the skeletal hordes and overcome a multitude of jumping challenges.

The second game extends the attacks and features of the original (and continues the story with a new dimension shifting twist) to include new moves like Eagle Boost, Pollo Shot and more add to Juan's arsenal of combat and platforming abilities.

The result is a technically demanding epic adventure through the worlds of the living and the dead, across rifts in time and space. It's a warm game with a big heart, with a wide cast of characters both hindering and helping you.
