Gunbrella is a retro running, jumping and shooting game set in a world dependent on a rapidly diminishing natural resource. You play a gruff woodsman on a quest for revenge, armed with the mysterious Gunbrella that shoots, glides and lets you interact with the world.

Play is largely side-on action where you are fighting and shooting enemies while reacting quickly to dangers. You must out-manoeuvre other characters to get the better of them in the close-quarters gun fights. The umbrella feature of your gun helps you do this. It enables you to glide, swing, dash, and dive around.

As you progress you interrogate people you meet and record what you learn in your investigative notebook. You are soon entangled with the inner workings of ghouls and gangsters, cops and cultists, and the fallout of corporate exploitation. You also need to manage your resources, find scrap and spare parts and trade them for different munitions and upgrades.

It's a fast-moving bombastic game that is over the top and entertaining, while also taking you on an adventure to uncover the mysteries of supernatural wraiths and monstrosities that materialize in places where blood has been shed.
