Play OverviewPlay Overview

Hello Kitty: Island Adventure (2023) is a role-play game where you're stranded on an island with other Hello Kitty characters. You build a town, interact with the villagers, and explore the island for resources and to meet new characters. It brings Animal Crossing's vibrant life simulation to non-Nintendo platforms with the added attraction of Hello Kitty for young players.

When your flight to a newly reopened island paradise goes awry, you and the Hello Kitty characters have to evacuate the plane midair and land scattered over the island. You work with those nearby to build a town with bridges and buildings. You must also travel the island to find the other characters and bring them to safety.

Play is a mix of life simulation, such as fishing and gathering resources, talking to townsfolk, completing quests for them and building items and structures, and exploration of the island. You unlock new areas by completing simple environmental puzzles like moving blocks to the right locations. As you explore, you meet new characters and gather valuable resources, both of which help your town expand. You can find ziplines and postboxes you can use to get around more quickly, and you also can dive underwater to find ancient shipwrecks and tropical reefs.

The result is a game that offers a novel blend of simulation, exploration, and adventure. Slowly seeing your town expand as a result of your hard work and travelling makes for a uniquely rewarding experience.
