Interlopers

Interlopers is a shooting game inspired by games like Doom that focus on rapid movement, hordes of enemy robots and impactful accurate firepower. You traverse the levels through multiple alien worlds taking on the hand-crafted enemies that each offer a different challenge. It stands out for the enemy intelligence and movement, and the exuberant bombastic shooting challenge.

Earth has fallen. In a blind jump, you've been transported off-world only to discover that other planets have suffered the same fate. A robotic legion has conquered the known universe, and you must journey across alien worlds to find a way to stop them.

Like classic 90s shooting games you can wield a large arsenal of weapons to take on a wide array of unique mechanical beings. Through the alien worlds, you fight the conquering robot legion. This takes you to stone temples, the ruins of the prior civilisations and ancient underworld architecture. You must scour each hand-crafted level for secrets and enough ammunition to survive.

The result is a game that is both fast and precise. Whether you remember Quake, Doom or Unreal, it's a lot of fun to rampage around managing your shotgun ammo. It's violent, but a very surreal almost sport-like violence.
