Play OverviewPlay Overview

Jet Set Knights (2016) is a co-operative retro action game where you guard a princess from on-marching enemies. It's like other tower defence games, but here you run and jump around the platforms to deal with enemies, along with placing defences. It stands out for its pixelated visuals, and unusual combination of this defensive play with upgrades and abilities for your knight.

You play one of four brave knights to take on hundreds of evil creatures and protect the princess at all costs. Drawing on classics like Mario Bros and Snow Bros you need to master the quick-action controls to get around. You also need to strategically place defences and upgrade your character with 14 different weapons, spells and artefacts.

Along with the single and co-operative campaign, there's a battle mode for up to four players, including Last Man Standing, Domination or Capture the Egg. The result is an enjoyable game that works well in families for both the novel visuals and exacting gameplay.

Our examiner, Andy Robertson, first checked Jet Set Knights 16 months ago. It was re-examined by Jo Robertson and updated 9 months ago.
